SEVENTEEN’s ‘Shohikigen’ Certified Triple Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan
SEVENTEEN’s fourth Japanese single, ‘Shohikigen,’ continues to gain popularity and has achieved significant recognition in Japan.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on April 10th, ‘Shohikigen’ surpassed 750,000 units in cumulative shipments as of March, earning SEVENTEEN their first-ever single album to be certified Triple Platinum. This achievement comes just four months after receiving the Double Platinum certification (over 500,000 units) in November of last year.
With ‘Shohikigen,’ SEVENTEEN now holds a total of five albums certified Triple Platinum or higher by the RIAJ. The RIAJ certifies albums based on cumulative shipments each month, categorizing them as Gold (over 100,000 units), Platinum (over 250,000 units), Double Platinum (over 500,000 units), and Triple Platinum (over 750,000 units).
‘Shohikigen’ debuted at number one on the Japanese Oricon Daily Singles Ranking immediately upon its release on November 27th, and subsequently topped the Weekly Singles Ranking and the Weekly Combined Singles Ranking, sweeping the major local charts. The album continued to demonstrate its exceptional popularity by returning to the top of the Oricon Daily Singles Ranking several times after its initial success.
Recently, SEVENTEEN brilliantly headlined the largest music festival in South America, ‘Tecate Pa'l Norte 2025,’ and is now preparing for their Japanese fan meeting tour. They will hold ‘SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING ‘HOLIDAY’’ at Kyocera Dome Osaka on April 24th and 26th-27th, and at Saitama Super Arena on May 10th-11th, to meet their local fans.
