BTS Jimin will be discharged today, June 11th, and his fans are celebrating with acts of kindness. Fans in Myanmar built new homes for families affected by a recent earthquake, demonstrating a positive influence.
Jimin’s Myanmar fanbase launched the ‘Welcome Home’ project to build new homes for families in the Inlay Lake region of Myanmar who were impacted by the earthquake. This act of kindness has touched many fans around the world. The project, initiated by Jimin’s Myanmar fanbase, received donations from fans globally. From April 17th to May 5th, the ‘JIMINLAND_Myanmar’ team visited the affected areas, carefully selecting families in need. The recipients expressed gratitude for the timely support, saying it gave them hope and strength.
Eight homes were built in a traditional style, with the Jimin Myanmar fanbase team working closely with homeowners to ensure the designs met their needs and wishes. The team stayed in temporary tents in the area throughout the construction period and worked closely with local volunteers, successfully completing the project with dedication.
Jimin entered the 5th Infantry Division training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province on December 11, 2023, and is being discharged after 1 year and 6 months of service. He will meet with fans at a discharge ceremony held at the Yeoncheon Public Stadium at 8 AM. Fans are celebrating with events for soldiers and local residents, as well as wrapping buses, displaying banners, and large digital advertisements, and through acts of kindness.
