TWICE continues to raise anticipation for limitless activity in the new year after fully embracing all four seasons of 2025 with record-breaking achievements and bold new endeavors. The group once again demonstrated why it is regarded as a “global top girl group.”
Debuting in 2015, TWICE marked its milestone 10th anniversary in 2025. Throughout the year, the group expanded its artistic scope beyond releasing a full-length album and embarking on a large-scale world tour, showcasing diverse activities that broadened their global reach and resulted in major accomplishments.
◆ From a Refreshing Spring to an Exceptionally Hot Summer
TWICE’s dynamic momentum was evident from the beginning of the year, driven by fresh and powerful synergy. In April, the group appeared as special guests for all six dates of world-renowned rock band Coldplay’s concerts in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, engaging audiences across genres. They also participated in the original soundtrack for Netflix’s hit series K-Pop Demon Hunters, widely regarded as one of the year’s standout content releases, contributing to its global success and highlighting a new facet of their presence.
Notably, “TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG),” featured on the OST album, and “Strategy,” a track from TWICE’s 14th mini album, both achieved worldwide popularity. The songs charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks and 17 weeks, respectively. With these two tracks, TWICE recorded their strongest-ever chart performance, and “Strategy” earned the group the first-ever RIAA Platinum certification for a K-pop girl group.
In July 2025, TWICE released their fourth full-length album THIS IS FOR—their first in approximately three years and eight months—alongside a world tour of the same name, further intensifying the excitement. The album set a new record as the first K-pop girl group to achieve a cumulative ten entries on the Billboard 200 chart. Their sixth world tour, THIS IS FOR, was praised as a landmark concert, showcasing an innovative evolution in 360-degree stage production.
As part of their largest-ever tour, TWICE drew a total of 400,000 attendees during their Japanese dome tour and once again proved their formidable influence by selling out all 360-degree seating at massive venues such as Kaohsiung National Stadium and Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium.
In August, TWICE made history as the first K-pop girl group to headline the global festival Lollapalooza Chicago. Their signature hits, performed with a live band and accompanied by powerful sing-alongs, captivated the massive crowd, while the nine members’ commanding stage presence left a lasting impression.
The performance featured a tightly curated setlist and a spectacular drone show that heightened the visual experience. Highlighting TWICE’s stature as stadium headliners, the full-performance video of Lollapalooza Chicago uploaded to the group’s official SNS channels amassed 4.95 million views on YouTube as of December 30—just four months after its release—approaching the 5 million view milestone.
