BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) has surpassed 70 million followers on Instagram, setting a historic milestone as the first and fastest Korean male solo artist to achieve the feat. Following the achievement, congratulatory messages from fans around the world flooded social media.

On January 12, V reached 70 million followers on his personal Instagram account, @thv, becoming the earliest Korean male solo artist to do so. Since opening the account on December 6, 2021, V has reached this milestone with only 150 posts.

Previously, V made headlines by reaching 1 million followers in just 43 minutes and 10 million followers in 4 hours and 52 minutes, records that were officially recognized by Guinness World Records.

V currently holds the title of the most-followed Korean male solo artist on Instagram and ranks first among BTS members. Jimin follows in second place with 56 million followers. Across all K-pop male artists—both groups and solo acts—V ranks second overall, trailing only the official BTS account, which has approximately 77 million followers.

Fans praised the perfection of V’s Instagram account—from his profile photo and curated posts to his follower count—earning him the nickname “the King of Instagram.”

Since completing his military service in June 2025, V has continued his solo activities, attending major global events such as Paris Fashion Week and Vogue World 2025: Hollywood, while serving as a brand ambassador for Coca-Cola Korea, TIRTIR, Paradise City, YOONSE, and several other brands.

After making his first appearance as a brand ambassador at a TIRTIR pop-up event in Los Angeles last November, V has further solidified his status as a fashion icon through collaborations with Vogue Japan and GQ Korea, showcasing editorials for CELINE and Cartier.

With BTS set to release their comeback album on March 20, followed by a full-group world tour, V’s Instagram follower count is expected to rise even more rapidly in the coming months.
