BTS's Jimin's "Like Crazy" has once again secured the top spot on the World Song chart in July, following its success in June, further solidifying his exceptional global popularity.
Jimin's first solo album "FACE," released in March last year, features the title track "Like Crazy," which claimed the No. 1 position in the "HOT 50 WORLD SONGS JULY 2024" poll conducted by the global K-pop voting site "King Choice" from July 16 to July 31. "Like Crazy" won the poll with 1,153,726 votes out of a total of 4,293,440 votes, achieving an incredible feat of 13 cumulative wins.
Earlier, in January, the pre-release track "Set Me Free Pt.2" from the "FACE" album also topped the World Song chart, marking Jimin's 14th month at No. 1 and his 10th consecutive month at the top with two songs from the album. Jimin first claimed the No. 1 spot on the "HOT 50 WORLD SONGS" chart in June 2021 with his solo track "Filter" from BTS's fourth studio album. He continued this streak with the tvN drama OST "With You," which also topped the chart in June and July 2022.
As a result, Jimin has won a total of 17 times with four Korean-language songs on the "HOT 50 WORLD SONGS" chart conducted by "King Choice," maintaining his No. 1 position for four consecutive years since 2021. Despite his military service hiatus, he remains a globally popular star.
Meanwhile, after releasing his second solo album "MUSE" on July 19, Jimin has continued to dominate the global music scene. His album ranked in the top positions on the U.S. Billboard singles chart for three consecutive weeks, appeared on the UK Official Chart for four consecutive weeks, topped all categories on Hanteo Chart by country, and surpassed 700 million streams on Spotify as of August 15, making him the first K-pop solo artist to achieve this milestone.
