YG's rookie girl group BABYMONSTER captivated global fans with a spectacular debut performance at "SUMMER SONIC 2024."


On August 18, BABYMONSTER successfully completed their stage at the Mountain Stage of "SUMMER SONIC 2024," held at Chiba's Zozo Marine Stadium & Makuhari Messe in Japan. As Japan's largest urban music festival, "SUMMER SONIC" features top local artists and internationally renowned musicians. 


The venue was packed with fans eager to see BABYMONSTER, and social media was flooded with reviews following the performance. The group's global popularity was further highlighted when TYLA, who gained worldwide fame through the "Water" challenge, collaborated with them by filming each other's challenge videos, which became a hot topic online.


BABYMONSTER opened their set with a powerful performance of "SHEESH," followed by "BATTER UP," which amplified the festival's energy. They continued to showcase their diverse charms with songs like "STUCK IN THE MIDDLE," "LIKE THAT," and YG's signature summer anthem "FOREVER."


Their flawless live performances and stage presence were particularly impressive, showcasing a level of professionalism beyond their rookie status. The members confidently moved across the stage, engaging with the audience and reinforcing their image as "monster rookies." The crowd enthusiastically responded with loud sing-alongs, further heightening the atmosphere. After performing a total of eight songs over approximately 40 minutes, BABYMONSTER expressed their gratitude by saying, "We enjoyed ourselves because you all had fun." They added, "We're grateful and happy to have the opportunity to showcase our live performance on such an amazing stage."


Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER released the Japanese version of their pre-debut song "BATTER UP" on August 16. The song, which had already garnered significant attention among music fans with YG's signature hip-hop energy, quickly entered the upper ranks of various Japanese music charts, receiving a positive response.
