Suga (Min Yoon-gi, 31), a member of the group BTS, who is facing charges of drunk driving on an electric scooter, will be summoned for a police investigation on the 23rd.

According to Star News, Suga is scheduled to appear at the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul later this afternoon for questioning. As a public service worker, Suga coordinated with the police to attend the summons after finishing his duties for the day. This comes 17 days after he was caught driving under the influence on August 6th.

Previously, on the evening of the 6th, Suga was apprehended by the police near his residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul, while riding an electric scooter. The breathalyzer test showed that Suga's blood alcohol concentration was 0.227%, far exceeding the license revocation level of 0.08%.

On the 7th, Suga issued an apology through a fan community, stating, "I am deeply sorry for disappointing you with this incident. After having drinks during dinner last night, I rode an electric scooter to return home. I made the careless decision, thinking it was a short distance and failed to recognize that using an electric scooter under the influence is prohibited, thus violating traffic laws."

Suga has been serving as a public service worker since September last year to fulfill his mandatory military service and is expected to be discharged in June next year.
