The group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) has added another impressive achievement in Japan.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on August 29th, SEVENTEEN's song "Mansae" surpassed 50 million cumulative streams in July, earning it a "Gold" certification in the streaming category. This track, the title song of SEVENTEEN's second mini-album "BOYS BE" released in 2015, was co-written and composed by Woozi, and it cleverly expresses the love of a young boy. The RIAJ awards certifications every month based on cumulative streaming numbers: Gold (over 50 million streams), Platinum (over 100 million streams), and Diamond (over 500 million streams).
SEVENTEEN now holds a total of 12 Gold-certified streaming songs, including "Mansae," "Very NICE," "Don't Wanna Cry," "Pretty U," "Left & Right," "Ready to love," "Rock with you," "HIT," "Super," "HOT," "Dar+ling," and "Clap."
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is set to showcase their status as a top K-pop group once again with the release of their 12th mini-album in October and their upcoming world tour "SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR." In Japan, they are also planning a dome tour and the release of a single album, which is expected to generate a strong response from local fans.
