The K-pop group NewJeans has surpassed 5 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, achieving this milestone just 25 months after their debut. According to Spotify, as of August 31st, NewJeans (comprising members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein) reached a total of 5,001,034,05 streams across all their songs. This remarkable feat comes approximately 2 years and 1 month after their debut.
NewJeans has consistently set impressive records on Spotify. In March of last year, they achieved 1 billion cumulative streams, setting a Guinness World Record for the fastest K-pop artist to reach this milestone, doing so in just 219 days. Eight months later, they surpassed 3 billion streams, and within another 10 months, they added another 2 billion streams, reaching the 5 billion mark. This accomplishment reflects the enduring popularity of both their new releases and previous tracks.
To date, NewJeans has produced 13 songs on Spotify that have each exceeded 100 million streams. Notable among these are "OMG" with over 700 million streams, "Ditto" and "Super Shy" with over 600 million, "Hype Boy" with over 500 million, "Attention" with over 400 million, and "New Jeans," "ETA," and "Cookie," each with over 200 million streams. Additionally, "Hurt," "Cool With You," "ASAP," "Get Up," and "How Sweet" have all surpassed 100 million streams.
As of August, NewJeans has approximately 16.39 million monthly listeners on Spotify. The top countries (or regions) where their songs are most frequently streamed include the United States, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan, and Thailand.
