Released in August 2018 as the title track of BTS's repackaged album "LOVE YOURSELF 結 'Answer'," the "IDOL" music video reached 1.3 billion views on YouTube around 8 a.m. on September 4th. The video is known for its vibrant visuals, featuring a unique set that blends Euro-Asian architecture with traditional Korean styles.
BTS's powerful performance, incorporating Korean elements like samulnori (traditional percussion) and talchum (mask dance), is complemented by striking subculture graphic effects, enhancing the music video's overall quality. "IDOL" also won the "Music Video of 2018" award at the 2018 E! People's Choice Awards in the U.S.
