Day 6 is sweeping the music chart with their new song "Melt Down," topping major music charts. On September 2nd, they made a comeback by releasing their mini-album Band Aid and its title track "Melt Down." The song, which conveys hope through the idea that "you" can melt away the despair that seems to freeze the world, has been receiving an enthusiastic response from listeners. "Melt Down" entered the Melon Top 100 chart at 5th place at 7 PM on the 2nd and climbed to 1st place by 9 PM, maintaining its top position on the 3rd and 4th as well.
On the Bugs daily chart, not only "Melt Down" but also other tracks from the album, including "She Smiled," "Monster," "Dead Game," "Help Me Rock & Roll," and "Still Alive There," took the top spots, from 1st place downwards. "Melt Down" remained 1st for two consecutive days on the 3rd. On Melon’s daily chart for September 3rd, "Melt Down" also reached the top spot, with other songs like "COUNTER" and "I'm Fine" ranking high on both the Melon and Bugs daily charts, showcasing the album's widespread popularity.
Their previous releases are also seeing a resurgence in popularity. The title track from their 8th mini-album Fourever, "Welcome to the Show," released on March 18th this year, along with the second track "HAPPY" and the title track "Time of Our Life" from their 5th mini-album The Book of Us: Gravity (released in July 2019), have been climbing the charts. As of 8 AM on the 4th, "Welcome to the Show" ranked 4th, "Time of Our Life" 7th, and "HAPPY" peaked at 8th on the Melon Top 100, joining "Melt Down" in the top 10.
Additionally, the title track "You Were Beautiful" from their February 2017 album Every DAY6 February reached 12th place, with DAY6 having a total of 12 songs on the Melon Top 100 as of September 3rd. This highlights the immense love and support the band is receiving from the public.
