BTS's Jimin has reached the top of Japan's Spotify charts with his song "Who," showcasing his global popularity.
The title track "Who" from Jimin's second solo album MUSE topped the Spotify Japan "Weekly Top Songs" chart (August 23 to August 29) on August 30. Only four acts have reached No. 1 on the Spotify Japan weekly chart in 2024, and Jimin, who debuted at No. 7 and climbed to No. 2, eventually reached the top. He is the only foreign artist and solo artist among the four groups to claim the No. 1 spot. Additionally, "Who" is the first and only song by a Korean solo artist to achieve No. 1 on this chart. Another track from the album, "Be Mine," has also remained on the weekly chart for four consecutive weeks, demonstrating its ongoing popularity.
Moreover, on the latest Spotify Japan "Daily Top Songs" chart (September 3), "Who" recorded 330,052 streams, marking its 17th time at No. 1. This sets a new record for the most No. 1s achieved by a Korean solo artist on Spotify Japan's daily chart, across both solo and collaboration tracks.
