TWICE's Tzuyu has successfully made her solo debut, with strong support from her fellow members and global fans.


On September 6, Tzuyu released her first solo mini-album abouTZU and the title track Run Away, marking her debut as a solo artist. The album quickly rose to the top of iTunes album charts in 11 regions worldwide. 


The catchy melody of Run Away has been praised for showcasing Tzuyu's unique voice and atmosphere, with comments like "her voice and vibe shine through" and "a retro masterpiece completed with her top-tier visuals." Tzuyu captivated both domestic and international fans with her performances, appearing on music shows such as Music Bank (KBS2), Show! Music Core (MBC), and Inkigayo (SBS) from September 6 to 8. Her stunning visuals and captivating performance cemented her presence as a solo artist.


Fellow TWICE members Nayeon, Jihyo, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung supported Tzuyu by visiting her during music show recordings, showing their close bond. They also participated in the Run Away dance challenge, adding extra fun for their fandom, ONCE, worldwide. Additionally, Chaeyoung joined Tzuyu for a special comeback live on TWICE's official YouTube channel, where the two shared stories and behind-the-scenes details about abouTZU.


The album features several tracks, including Heartbreak In Heaven featuring Peniel of BTOB, Lazy Baby featuring pH-1, Losing Sleep, One Love, and Fly. These songs were playfully compared to different drinks like Americano, lemonade, chamomile tea, and melon soda during the live broadcast, adding an entertaining twist.


Fan enthusiasm for Tzuyu's solo debut has been remarkable, with pre-orders for abouTZU reaching 467,500 copies as of September 6. The album also sold over 220,000 copies on its first day of release.
