BOYNEXTDOOR's New Album '19.99' Debuts at No. 1 on Japan's Oricon Daily Album Ranking

BOYNEXTDOOR, known for their "everyday life-inspired music," has once again topped the charts. According to the latest Oricon chart (dated September 9), released on September 10, BOYNEXTDOOR's third mini-album 19.99 (members: Seongho, Liu, Myung Jae-hyun, Taesan, Lee Han, Unhak) debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking, selling 105,090 copies on its first day. This surpasses the first-day sales of their Japanese debut single AND, released in July, which sold 101,271 copies, setting a new personal record for first-day sales in Japan.

This achievement marks the fourth consecutive No. 1 Oricon entry for BOYNEXTDOOR, following their first mini-album WHY.., second mini-album HOW?, and their Japanese debut single. The new album also topped South Korea's Hanteo Chart on the day of release (September 9), selling 609,666 copies, further demonstrating the group's growing popularity in both Japan and Korea.

19.99 explores the various emotions experienced around the age of 20, a pivotal time in life. The members, including Unhak, who turns 20 next year, and those just entering their twenties, actively participated in the songwriting process, translating their personal experiences into music.

The relatable stories of these "boys next door" have resonated with the public. The title track "Nice Guy" and the pre-released track "Parents Not Allowed" both entered Melon's daily chart on the day of release. Additionally, the "Nice Guy" music video ranked 8th on YouTube's Trending Music chart by noon on September 11, just three days after its release.
