HYBE and Geffen Records' global girl group KATSEYE is showing rapid growth on major music charts in both the US and Korea.
According to the latest US Billboard chart (dated September 28), KATSEYE's first EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), with its double title track Touch, has climbed to No. 125 on the "Global Excl. U.S." chart and No. 153 on the "Global 200" chart. These rankings reflect increases of 19 and 6 places, respectively, from the previous week. Additionally, SIS (Soft Is Strong) ranked No. 27 on the "Top Current Album Sales" chart and No. 30 on the "Top Album Sales" chart. Thanks to this momentum, KATSEYE secured the No. 7 spot on the "Emerging Artist" chart, which highlights rising new artists around the world. Since debuting at No. 1 on the chart dated August 31, they have remained in the top tier for five consecutive weeks.
On Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, Touch also continues to climb. On the "Daily Top Songs Global" chart (dated September 22), the song reached No. 86, an 18-place rise from the previous day. It first entered the chart at No. 198 on August 27 and has steadily risen into the top 100.
KATSEYE is also performing well on Korea’s major music chart, Melon. Touch ranked No. 21 on Melon's "Hot 100" chart (dated September 23), which tracks popular new releases within 100 days of their debut.
KATSEYE was formed through the global audition program The Debut: Dream Academy, which attracted over 120,000 applicants. Recently, they successfully completed their Asia promotion tour, with stops in South Korea, the Philippines, and Japan.
