BTS's Jimin has been named one of the "Music Platinum Players" by The Hollywood Reporter, further highlighting his global popularity. He was listed alongside prominent pop stars such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, and Sabrina Carpenter in the publication’s recent feature titled "Music Platinum Players: 25 Stars Lighting Up the Culture from Beyoncé to Chapel Roan."
Despite being on a temporary hiatus due to his military service, The Hollywood Reporter praised Jimin's accomplishments, specifically mentioning his latest album MUSE, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The article also noted that Jimin became the first K-pop artist to have two albums—MUSE and his 2023 solo debut FACE—reach No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
The title track Who from MUSE debuted at No. 14 on Billboard's Hot 100 and topped the Global 200 and Global (Excl. U.S.) charts, which track streaming and sales across over 200 countries. Jimin’s solo achievements have continuously attracted attention from major media outlets. For instance, The New York Times named his Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 with Like Crazy as one of the "20 Firsts of 2023," the only music-related mention on the list. Additionally, CNN highlighted that no other BTS member has achieved solo success quite like Jimin.
GRAMMY.com also praised Like Crazy as one of the "15 K-pop Songs that Defined 2023," and following the release of MUSE, it commended Jimin’s artistic growth and versatility, calling him a "main pop boy" who is revealing a new musical identity.
