BTS's Jimin has set a new record with his song Who, marking one of the greatest achievements in K-pop in 2024 in the U.S.

On September 30 (local time), Jimin's second solo album MUSE and its title track Who surpassed 1 million unit sales in the U.S., earning Jimin a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

This makes Who the fastest K-pop solo song, without any collaborations, to achieve 1 million sales in the U.S., reaching this milestone in just 74 days after its release on July 19, despite Jimin's inactivity due to military enlistment. The official certification will be processed upon request from Jimin's label.

Jimin had already made history last year when the title track Like Crazy from his first solo album FACE became the only Korean-language solo song by a K-pop artist to surpass 1 million unit sales in the U.S., also receiving an RIAA Platinum certification. With this latest achievement, Jimin becomes the first K-pop solo artist to earn two consecutive Platinum certifications for solo album title tracks in two years.

On the same day, another track from MUSE, Be Mine, also sold over 100,000 units in the U.S., adding to Jimin's growing success. He now has a total of 15 individual songs that have surpassed 100,000 unit sales in the U.S., further cementing his influence in the American music market.
