BTS's V has added another significant achievement to his career with his solo album Layover in Japan. According to an announcement by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) on October 10, V's first solo album Layover, released in September 2023, has surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments by the end of September, earning a Platinum certification under the Gold Disc Awards.


This marks V’s first album to receive a Platinum certification from the RIAJ. The association awards certifications based on cumulative shipments, with levels such as Gold (100,000 units), Platinum (250,000 units), Double Platinum (500,000 units), Triple Platinum (750,000 units), and Million (1 million units).


Additionally, the Layover LP recently topped Oricon's Daily Album Ranking on September 30, further showcasing its success.
