BabyMonster, Pre-Releases 1 Minute and 20 Seconds of New Song 'CLIK CLAK' from Debut Album


YG's rookie girl group BabyMonster has ignited excitement for their comeback by unveiling the first track, 'CLIK CLAK,' from their debut full-length album [DRIP], set to release on November 1.


On October 11, YG Entertainment posted a '[DRIP] CLIK CLAK PREVIEW' on their official blog. The video offers a 1-minute and 20-second preview of 'CLIK CLAK,' the opening track of [DRIP], showcasing a bold promotional move. While teasers are usually limited to 20 seconds, this preview reveals the entire highlight section of the first verse, sparking an enthusiastic response from global music fans, with three weeks remaining until the album's release.


YG's executive producer Yang Hyun-suk previously described 'CLIK CLAK' as an original hip-hop track, and its unique beat makes an immediate impression. Ahyeon and Ruka’s rap, with their distinct voices and captivating flow, elevates the intensity, capturing listeners' attention from the opening verse. The group, primarily made up of teenagers, flawlessly delivers an authentic hip-hop vibe, impressing with their confidence. The English lyrics, unique flow, and BabyMonster’s musical prowess create a perfect synergy, further showcasing their versatility as "all-rounders."


YG emphasized that "'CLIK CLAK' is the first song where all the members attempt rap," adding that "the different tones and unique styles of each member build tension, bringing out a fresh charm." This has heightened anticipation for the full track.


BabyMonster is set to make their comeback with their debut album [DRIP] on November 1 at 1 p.m. The album contains nine tracks spanning various genres like hip-hop, dance, and pop. The title track 'DRIP,' co-composed by G-Dragon, has already piqued global fans' interest.


YG is continuing to fuel the comeback hype with bold promotions, including multiple music videos and large-scale projects. On October 12, a preview of the third track 'Love, Maybe' will be released, followed by previews of the remaining tracks in the coming days.
