Pink Venom Surpass 900 million views on YouTube

The music video for "Pink Venom," a pre-release track from BLACKPINK's second full-length album, has surpassed 900 million views on YouTube.


According to YG Entertainment on the 15th, BLACKPINK's "Pink Venom" music video exceeded 900 million views at approximately 2:57 AM on this day. It achieved this milestone in about two years and two months since its release on August 19, 2022, becoming the group's 11th video to surpass 900 million views. The music video set a world record for female artists by amassing 90.4 million views within 24 hours of its release. It also showed exceptional popularity by surpassing 100 million views in the fastest time for a K-pop girl group (29 hours and 35 minutes) and reaching 200 million views in just over seven days.


"Pink Venom" is a hip-hop track that highlights BLACKPINK's signature charisma. The intro grabs attention with the sound of traditional Korean instruments layered over a strong beat, while sharp rap and powerful vocals showcase each member's unique appeal.


The song also made a significant impact on major charts. It topped iTunes in 81 countries shortly after its release and ranked No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 for two consecutive weeks and on the Billboard Global chart for three consecutive weeks. It also achieved notable success in the mainstream pop market, debuting at No. 22 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Chart.


BLACKPINK has produced a total of 47 videos with over 100 million views, solidifying their status as the "YouTube Queens" and demonstrating their ongoing influence. Their official YouTube channel currently has over 94.9 million subscribers, the most for any male or female artist worldwide, and their cumulative content views have surpassed 37.1 billion.
