MAMAMOO's Solar is set to fill this autumn with emotion through her music. On October 29 at 6 PM (KST), she will release Solar Emotion Part. 8 on various music platforms.

The Solar Emotion series features reinterpreted versions of classic songs or tracks that hold personal significance for Solar. The title track, First Love, is a remake of the mega-hit song by Japanese superstar Utada Hikaru. Known as a beloved love song in Japan, Solar's heartfelt and powerful voice adds a dramatic flair to the track.

Notably, Solar is the first artist, domestic or international, to officially remake First Love. She also personally participated in rewriting the lyrics in Korean, enhancing the song's depth and quality.

The music video, which will be released alongside the track, tells the story of a "love letter to a first love from the past," offering a cinematic experience reminiscent of a youth romance film. It features nostalgic elements such as bicycles, mailboxes, and letters, amplifying the vintage mood. Solar's delicate emotional performance in the video is also a highlight. Additionally, Solar Emotion Part. 8 includes a remake of Lee Jang-hee's iconic 1970s hit I Will Give Everything to You (Love Letter), showcasing Solar's sweet voice. The "Love Letter" subtitle connects this song thematically to the title track First Love, as both capture pure, sincere emotions, leaving a lasting impression.

Through the Solar Emotion project, Solar has previously received praise for her remakes of beloved songs such as I Lived Like a Fool, Longing Only Grows, In Dreams, and Though I Loved You. Her latest release, Solar Emotion Part. 8, is expected to become another "first love memory" song, perfectly suited to the autumn season.

Solar will release Solar Emotion Part. 8 on October 29 at 6 PM and will meet her fans on November 17 at a talk concert titled 2024 Solar’s TALK CONCERT [Knowing Yourself], held at the Centennial Memorial Hall at Yonsei University in Seoul.
