BTS’s Jimin Sets New K-pop Record with 'Like Crazy' Surpassing 1.3 Billion Streams on Spotify
BTS member Jimin’s song "Like Crazy" has become the first Korean-language song to reach 1.3 billion streams on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. As of October 28, "Like Crazy" crossed this milestone, setting a record not only for Korean songs but also as the first solo track by a K-pop artist to achieve this feat, marking another historical achievement for Jimin.
Released in March last year as the title track of Jimin’s debut solo album FACE, "Like Crazy" quickly made history, becoming the first song by a K-pop solo artist to reach #1 on Spotify’s Global Daily Top Songs chart. It also topped Billboard’s main singles chart, the Hot 100, making Jimin the first K-pop soloist to achieve this.
In addition, "Like Crazy" became the first Korean solo song to surpass one million units sold in the U.S., earning it RIAA Platinum certification, and it ranked as the best-selling K-pop track in the U.S. in 2023. By August, it had sold over two million units, qualifying for double Platinum certification.
The song also spent 268 days on Spotify’s U.S. Daily Top Songs chart, setting the record for the longest-charting K-pop solo song and amassing over 1.14 billion filtered streams, further securing its position as the most-streamed K-pop song on the platform. Additionally, "Like Crazy" remained on the Billboard Global 200 chart for 61 weeks and the Global Excl. U.S. chart for 68 weeks, cementing its impact on the global music scene.
