BLACKPINK's Rosé is set to release another single, "number one girl," on the 22nd, marking her second pre-release hit following "APT."
The Black Label announced that Rosé will unveil "number one girl" on November 22 at 2 PM KST, just about a month after releasing her single "APT" on October 18. Fans eagerly awaiting Rosé's comeback are thrilled by this announcement. Like "APT," "number one girl" will be a pre-release single ahead of her official comeback on December 6 and will also be included in her first full-length album, rosie. The album will feature a total of 12 tracks, including the title track, "number one girl," "APT," and more, with Rosé participating in writing and composing every song, allowing her to share a more personal and intimate story.
Since its release on October 18, the pre-release single "APT" has been making waves globally, setting new records. "APT" achieved a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) on domestic music charts upon release, reached the top of Spotify's U.S. charts, claimed No. 1 on iTunes charts in 40 regions, and topped QQ Music, China’s largest music streaming platform, dominating both American and Asian markets.
Furthermore, "APT" entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 8, making Rosé the highest-charting K-pop female artist and the first to debut in the single-digit rankings. On the UK Official Singles Chart, one of the two major global pop charts alongside Billboard, "APT" debuted at No. 4 and later rose to No. 2, setting another record for K-pop female artists.
The music video for "APT" also surpassed 300 million views in just 22 days and 6 hours, breaking the record for the fastest solo K-pop artist to reach this milestone in 11 years. Following "number one girl" on the 22nd, Rosé is set to release her full-length album rosie on December 6.
