Gong Min-ji (26), ex-member of now defunct girl group 2NE1, has agreed to terminate the exclusive contract with The Music Works, a company that has been in conflict. And now Gong Min-ji is to leave The Music Works and prepare for a new start.
As a result of the coverage of Star News on the 17th, the Seoul Central District Court's civil affairs 103 decided to replace mediation on the lawsuit against the existence of the exclusive contract that Gong Min-ji filed against The Music Works on the 31st of last month.
The two sides reached an agreement seven months after submitting an application for provisional disposition of suspension of the exclusive contract on September 25 of last year.
The two sides had been served with the decision and did not object to it for two weeks, so the mediation was confirmed. As a result, Gong Min-ji became independent from The Music Works and was able to work freely.
Gong announced this by saying, "It's a new start" through her social media. She said, "Today, I left my company and got freedom. For the fans who always support me, We negotiated and ended the dispute quickly," she added.
