IVE’s Ahn Yujin to Host ‘2024 Gayo Daejeon’ for the Fourth Consecutive Year


Ahn Yujin, leader of the girl group IVE, is set to take the stage as the MC for the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon, marking her fourth consecutive year as host.


According to Starship Entertainment on November 27, Ahn Yujin will host the annual event, which will take place on December 25 at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. Since beginning her MC role at the 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon, Ahn has been a standout figure at this globally recognized K-pop festival, earning praise for her polished hosting skills. Her exceptional performance during the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer in July, where she demonstrated remarkable poise and wit, has further raised expectations for her return as MC.


Beyond her group activities with IVE, Ahn Yujin has showcased her versatility through various projects. She participated in the Disney 100th anniversary film Wish and the Kakao Webtoon The Great OST, as well as through her presence in the entertainment industry. Since 2022, she has charmed audiences on tvN’s Earth Arcade and JTBC’s Crime Scene Returns with her quick wit, enthusiasm, and unique “bright-eyed crazy” (맑눈광) persona, establishing herself as a formidable entertainer.


Her efforts have earned her recognition in both entertainment and music. At the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards in May, she was nominated for the entertainment award and won the popularity award. In July, she received the Why Not trophy at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards, honoring her contribution to innovative projects in the streaming industry. In September, she was named Female Variety Idol for the second consecutive year, winning the title at the 2024 Brand of the Year Awards.
