aespa Wins 3 Daesangs at MMA2024

The music industry this year saw a strong presence of female artists. aespa solidified their position by winning three Daesangs (grand prizes) at the 16th Melon Music Awards (MMA2024), while (G)I-DLE claimed one Daesang and celebrated remarkable musical achievements.

Held on November 30 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, MMA2024 presented Daesangs for Best Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Kakao Bank Album of the Year—all of which were swept by aespa. During her acceptance speech, Winter expressed her gratitude:

"I don't even know how many awards we've won tonight at MMA. Thank you for this incredible honor. I have so many people to thank. As I've mentioned earlier, we owe it all to MYs (our fans) and everyone else who has supported us. I want to express gratitude to the One Production staff who made this music possible and to all those working hard behind the scenes. This award feels like a recognition of their efforts. We'll work just as hard next year as we have this year."

Winter also reflected on their album "Armageddon," saying:

"We poured our hearts into preparing this album. I feel so happy knowing our emotions reached our fans. I will never forget 2024—it’s been such a precious and joyful year filled with unforgettable memories. I'll remember 2024 for the rest of my life. Thank you and love to all the staff and fans who made this possible."

Giselle also expressed her heartfelt thanks:

"Thank you so much for the Artist of the Year award. There are so many people I want to thank. To our MYs, we love you so much. It's getting colder, so please take care of your health and avoid catching a cold. We’ll continue working hard to become artists worthy of your support. Thank you for this amazing year."
