BTS's V's digital single "Winter Ahead" (with Park Hyo Shin) has shone globally by ranking in the top 5 on the UK's Official Trending Chart.


According to the UK's Official Charts on December 4, "Winter Ahead" placed 5th on the Official Trending Chart. The Official Charts' social media account highlighted the track as one of the most popular songs in the UK. Updated every Tuesday, the Official Trending Chart showcases the top 20 new and trending tracks gaining influence in the UK, reflecting global recognition and popularity. 


The Official Charts Company stated that this chart has proven an 80% success rate in predicting future chart movements. Remarkably, "Winter Ahead" achieved this success despite a lack of promotions, as the release was announced just a week in advance and V is currently inactive due to his military service.


Upon release, "Winter Ahead" topped both the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart and the European iTunes Song Chart, reaffirming V's enduring popularity and global impact. The song claimed the No. 1 spot on iTunes Top Songs charts in 86 countries and garnered 4.22 million streams on its first day, debuting at No. 15 on the Global Spotify Chart. Additionally, the music video, showcasing V's delicate acting and stunning visuals, ranked No. 1 on the U.S. Tidal Top Video Chart. V also contributed to the songwriting and composition, once again demonstrating his talent as a singer-songwriter.


Meanwhile, on December 6 at 2 PM (KST), V's second gift, "White Christmas," will be released simultaneously worldwide. The duet with American pop star Bing Crosby was made possible through a proposal from Crosby's agency, Primary Wave.


Primary Wave shared, "We discovered that V has long expressed admiration for Bing Crosby. We believed his voice would harmonize beautifully with Crosby's and considered him the perfect artist to collaborate on 'White Christmas.' Hence, we initiated the proposal for this project."
