Stray Kids to Perform at the '2024 Billboard Music Awards' for the Second Consecutive Year


Stray Kids, a leading K-pop group, will perform at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) for the second consecutive year. The BBMAs announced on December 9 (local time) via their official social media channels that Stray Kids will join the lineup of performers at the awards ceremony, which will take place on December 12 in Los Angeles, USA.


This marks a significant achievement for Stray Kids as they continue to solidify their status as global top artists. 


The group is set to deliver high-energy performances of two of their biggest hits from 2024. Notably, Stray Kids made history last year by becoming the first fourth-generation K-pop boy group to win the Top K-pop Album award at the BBMAs.
For the 2024 BBMAs, Stray Kids have been nominated in four categories: Top Duo/Group, Top K-pop Album, and Top Global K-pop Artist, among others. Impressively, they are the only K-pop act to secure two nominations in the Top K-pop Album category with their mini albums 樂-STAR (Rockstar) and ATE. In the Top Duo/Group category, they are competing alongside global music giants like Blink-182, Coldplay, Fuerza Regida, and Linkin Park.


Billboard Achievements
Stray Kids have achieved remarkable success on the Billboard charts. Starting with their mini album ODDINARY in March 2022, they have consecutively debuted five albums, including MAXIDENT, ★★★★★ (5-STAR), 樂-STAR (Rockstar), and ATE, at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Their latest title track, Chk Chk Boom, from the album ATE, became their third entry on the Billboard Hot 100, following 樂 (Rock) from 樂-STAR and their English single Lose My Breath (Feat. Charlie Puth).


International Acclaim
Stray Kids have also garnered recognition at major international music awards. In September 2023, they won the Best K-pop award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards with their track 특 (S-Class) from ★★★★★ (5-STAR). Earlier this year, they took home awards at the 2024 People's Choice Awards in February and the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards in April.


Additionally, their song SLASH, featured in the soundtrack for the movie Deadpool and Wolverine, earned a nomination in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category at the 67th Grammy Awards.
