LE SSERAFIM Named in Major U.S., U.K., and Japanese Media's 'Best K-Pop of the Year'
As the year draws to a close, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) has been receiving significant recognition from international media outlets.
On December 17, U.S. music publication Consequence included LE SSERAFIM in its 2024 K-pop Yearbook under the “Rising Star” category. The outlet praised the group, stating, “LE SSERAFIM has spent the year delivering joy, passion, and elegance, drawing more listeners into their world in the process.” LE SSERAFIM expressed their gratitude, saying, “2024 was filled with countless memories and experiences. Sharing our music on stage with fans brought us immense joy. Thanks to the support of FEARNOT (our fandom), we were able to perform on various stages. We’ll work hard to show an even better version of ourselves next year.”


LE SSERAFIM’s presence in year-end reviews by prominent foreign media underscores their growing influence. British fashion and culture magazine Dazed selected the group’s mini 4th album title track "CRAZY" as one of “The 50 Best K-pop Tracks of 2024.” The magazine highlighted the track’s achievement of surpassing 100 million Spotify streams in just two months and praised its unforgettable lyric, “All the girls are girling girling,” calling it a standout line of the year.


U.S. magazine Teen Vogue lauded the group’s creative achievements, including "CRAZY" in its list of “15 Best K-pop Music Videos of 2024,” stating, “LE SSERAFIM poured everything into 'CRAZY,' building on their massive success from last year. There’s no music video more impressive than this one.” Meanwhile, the mini 4th album’s B-side track “1-800-hot-n-fun” was ranked 9th on NME’s “The 25 Best K-pop Songs of 2024.” The British music magazine described the song as “a provocative anthem for hot girls” and praised it as “a track perfect for a fun night, destined for repeat plays.”


LE SSERAFIM’s achievements have also been recognized on broadcasting and streaming platforms. In Japan’s largest cable network USEN’s Music Award 2024 (tracking period: November 24, 2023 - November 21, 2024), two of their tracks from the mini 3rd album, “EASY” (2nd place) and “CRAZY” (7th place), entered the “HITK-POP” Top 10, making them the only girl group to place two songs in the top tier.


On Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, LE SSERAFIM’s songs “Smart” and “EASY” were ranked 1st and 5th, respectively, on the editor-curated “Best K-Pop Songs of 2024,” further solidifying their remarkable global impact.
