WayV: "Korean Promotions Begin, 'Music Bank' No. 1… We're Ready to Keep Running" [Interview]




WayV (Kun, WinWin, Ten, Xiaojun, YangYang, Hendery) has officially embarked on Korean promotions and looks forward to continuing their stellar journey in 2025.


On December 27 at 7 PM (KST), WayV attended the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) held at IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand. The group won the Best Artist Award, with member Ten also receiving the Best Choice Award. Speaking with Star News at the event, Kun shared, "It feels great to be here with so many amazing artists. We worked hard to prepare for this performance."


At the AAA 2024, WayV performed two tracks: Frequency and Give Me That. These performances showcased a powerful blend of old-school hip-hop and their dynamic vocals. Xiaojun explained, "We've been presenting a lot of old-school styles, and this time, we got to show a brighter side."


Both songs were performed in Korean, marking an important step for the group, which primarily operates in the Chinese-speaking market, as they shift focus to Korean promotions. Reflecting on the year, Kun said, "It has been such a busy year. We've done so much with our fans and created many new things."


Ten added, "After being active overseas for a long time, returning to Korea and seeing so many fans was incredible. Starting our Korean promotions this year, we aimed to show more performances. It was so rewarding to win first place on Music Bank this time—it felt amazing," he said with a smile.


WayV’s strong momentum this year is a promising sign of even greater achievements in 2025 as they continue to expand their global presence.
