BTS Jimin's "Who" Named One of Rolling Stone India's "10 Best K-Pop Songs of 2024"


BTS member Jimin's track "Who" has gained immense popularity in India.


On December 23, Rolling Stone India announced its list of "10 Best K-Pop Songs of 2024," featuring Jimin's "Who." The publication praised the song, stating, "This track is made even more special and enigmatic by Jimin's star power and performance."


They elaborated, saying, "The blend of soft lighting, dance, unique signature vocals, and diverse musical elements creates a surreal feeling. 'Who' showcases Jimin's voice perfectly, like a palette of sounds that highlights it just the right amount."


As a magazine known for representing the trends and culture of the younger generation, Rolling Stone India's recognition reflects the local popularity and remarkable achievements of "Who."


"Who" debuted at No. 1 on the India Music Industry (IMI) Top 20 Singles chart, maintaining its position for two consecutive weeks. It also stayed in the Top 10 for 17 weeks, setting a record as the longest-charting Korean solo song. The IMI Top 20 Singles chart is India's first officially recognized music chart, based on data from platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.


On Spotify India's Daily Top Songs chart, "Who" surpassed 15 million streams, becoming the most-streamed Korean male solo song. It remained on the chart for 79 days, setting another record for the longest charting by a Korean male solo song.


Released on July 19, 2024, during Jimin's military service and without any promotional activities, "Who" created a global sensation. It was named No. 1 on Spotify's year-end "Global Top K-Pop Songs of the Year" list and was also selected as the Best K-Pop Solo Song in Apple Music's "Best of 2024 K-Pop World" roundup.


Furthermore, Jimin showcased his enduring presence by winning the Best Male Solo Musician award at the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024), held at Impact Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 27, despite being on a hiatus for military service.
