'AAA Grand Prize' Winner NewJeans' Hyein Ranks 3rd in Star Ranking for Female Idols


Hyein, a member of the group NewJeans, secured 3rd place in the Star Ranking for female idols.


In the December Week 5 (166th) Star Ranking Female Idol Voting, conducted from 3:01 PM on December 26 to 3:00 PM on January 2, Hyein garnered 2,703 votes, landing her in 3rd place. The rankings were led by Irene (16,000 votes), followed by Girls' Generation's Yoona (5,668 votes) in 2nd place, Hyein in 3rd, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon (2,394 votes) in 4th, and Girls' Generation's Yuri (1,361 votes) in 5th.


NewJeans, to which Hyein belongs, achieved remarkable recognition at the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) held on December 27 at Bangkok's Impact Challenger Hall. The group claimed three trophies, including Singer of the Year (a grand prize), Best Performance, and Best Artist.


The Star Ranking is a fan-driven voting system where fans vote directly for their favorite stars to determine rankings. Depending on the ranking, various benefits are provided to the stars.
