BTS Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' Achieves Highest Ranking for an Asian Artist Album on United World Year-End Global Chart




BTS's Jungkook continues to shine globally with his solo album GOLDEN.


Jungkook's first solo album, GOLDEN, ranked 21st in the Global category of the United World 2024 Year-End Chart by Media Traffic, a global album sales tracking site. 


Released in November 2023, GOLDEN secured its spot with approximately 1.774 million sales, even a year after its release. This marks the highest ranking and sales figure for an album by an Asian artist.


Previously, GOLDEN ranked 33rd in the Global category of the United World 2023 Year-End Chart with sales of approximately 1.519 million. The album's improved sales and ranking compared to the previous year highlight its enduring global popularity and the unwavering love from music fans worldwide.


Jungkook's global impact had already been proven through his solo singles. "Seven" topped the United World Chart's Tracks category for 10 consecutive weeks, while "3D" also secured the No. 1 spot, demonstrating his undeniable power on digital platforms.


In addition, GOLDEN achieved the highest sales among K-pop solo albums in the United States for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024, the world's largest music market. The album sold over 1 million units in the U.S., earning Jungkook a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
