IVE Transforms: "Rebel Heart" Stage Premieres on M Countdown


Girl group IVE is meeting fans with their new song, showcasing a bold transformation.


According to their agency, Starship Entertainment, IVE (members An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo) will appear on Mnet's M Countdown on the 16th to give the first-ever broadcast performance of "Rebel Heart," a pre-release track from their third EP album, IVE EMPATHY.


In the music video for "Rebel Heart," released on the same day as the song, IVE presented a new beginning rooted in self-assurance, explored through the theme of "empathy." The video gained significant attention as the members portrayed rebellious characters in various settings, each delivering a performance that amplified the song's charm.


The "Rebel Heart" music video has received an explosive response, ranking No. 1 on YouTube Korea’s Trending Videos (Music) chart for three consecutive days after its release. The teaser video also ranked No. 1 on the Trending Videos (Film) chart. Globally, the music video placed second on YouTube Music Video Trending Worldwide and was listed in the trending videos category for 13 countries/regions and the trending music category for 20 countries/regions. Additionally, it ranked fourth on the overall music video chart and second on the Korean music video chart of QQ Music, China’s largest music streaming platform.
Following the release of "Rebel Heart," IVE has been maintaining strong momentum both domestically and internationally. As of January 15, the song topped the iTunes Top K-pop Songs chart in 16 countries/regions and made the Top 10 in 26 countries/regions. On the iTunes Top Songs chart, it reached No. 1 in four countries/regions and landed in the Top 10 in 10 countries/regions. Furthermore, on QQ Music, the track topped the Rising Chart and secured spots on the New Songs Chart and Popular Songs Chart, reflecting its widespread popularity across global markets.


With "Rebel Heart," IVE is aiming to capture 2025’s music scene by delivering themes of comfort and empathy. The group’s synergy between their bold styling and music performances is drawing attention as they aim to convey messages of camaraderie and connection.


IVE’s "Rebel Heart" performance is scheduled for January 16 at 6 p.m. on Mnet’s M Countdown.
