BABYMONSTER to Release 'BILLIONAIRE' MV on the 7th




BABYMONSTER, who has been gaining strong momentum on YouTube thanks to their outstanding live performance skills, is set to further fuel their rising popularity. YG Entertainment announced on January 31 that the group will release a performance video for their first full album track "BILLIONAIRE" on February 7.


Since the release of their first full album last year, BABYMONSTER has been at the center of attention by unveiling music videos for their double title tracks "DRIP" and "CLIK CLAK," followed by "Love In My Heart" and "Really Like You." Including the pre-released "FOREVER," the group has now delivered a total of five MVs from their eight-track album, an exceptionally rare promotional strategy even in the global music industry. This move highlights YG's deep confidence and commitment to the group. Fans were thrilled when the phrase "BILLIONAIRE COMING SOON" appeared at the end of the "Really Like You" MV, hinting at a sixth official video.


Unlike a traditional MV, "BILLIONAIRE" will be released as an EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO. YG explained that rather than relying on elaborate sets and CG-heavy production, the video aims to highlight raw, powerful performances to differentiate itself from conventional music videos.
This EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO is part of YG’s signature performance-focused content series, personally overseen by Yang Hyun-suk, YG’s executive producer. As a former performer himself, Yang has played a key role in enhancing the appeal of choreography-driven music videos. His expertise has shaped the choreography for 2NE1, BIGBANG, and BLACKPINK, and he has personally planned and edited many of their performance-based videos. Notably, BLACKPINK Lisa’s "MONEY" EXCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE VIDEO surpassed 1 billion views, proving the effectiveness of this strategy.


"BILLIONAIRE" is a sophisticated Y2K pop-R&B track that blends deep 808 bass with flamenco-inspired elements. YG has incorporated flamenco-themed outfits and choreography into the performance, showcasing BABYMONSTER’s versatility and unique identity. The song’s powerful message—that personal worth cannot be measured by material wealth—is expected to resonate deeply with fans.


The "BILLIONAIRE" performance was first unveiled at BABYMONSTER’s Seoul concert on January 25-26 as part of their world tour. The choreography, which featured ribbon-adorned costumes and groovy dance moves, received an explosive response on social media. YG stated, "We presented an unfinished version as a special gift for concert attendees, but the fully completed version will be uploaded on February 7. Please look forward to it."


Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is expanding their global reach with their debut world tour, "2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR <HELLO MONSTERS>." After successfully kicking off the tour in Seoul’s KSPO Dome, the group will visit 14 cities across 23 shows, including stops in the United States, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei.
