Moonbyul Unveils MV Teaser for Japanese Debut Single Title Track… Rooftop Band Performance
MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul is set to showcase a dreamy musical universe reminiscent of the aurora with her Japanese debut.
On January 30, Moonbyul released the music video teaser for ‘ほしあかり (Hoshiakari)’, the title track of her Japanese debut single ‘Aurora’, through her official YouTube channel. In the teaser, Moonbyul is seen wandering the streets, lost in deep longing as she reminisces about someone. As the emotions intensify, she suddenly starts running at full speed, leading into a rooftop band performance scene where she passionately sings with a bright smile, embracing a sense of freedom.
‘ほしあかり (Hoshiakari)’, meaning ‘starlight’, features poetic lyrics that compare love and eternity to light. The emotional band sound combined with Moonbyul’s wistful yet deep vocals enhances the song’s brilliance, making it even more captivating.
‘Aurora’ marks Moonbyul’s first-ever Japanese single in her 11-year career.
The single includes a total of three tracks:
‘ほしあかり (Hoshiakari)’ (Title track)‘Because of You’‘Is This Love?’ (Japanese Version)
Each song carries its own unique light, coming together to create a magnificent aurora-like musical experience.
Meanwhile, ‘Aurora’ will be officially released on February 5 at midnight. To celebrate the release, Moonbyul will embark on a special promotional tour across Japan, meeting fans through release events in five cities: Nagoya (Jan 31), Osaka, Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Fukuoka.
