(G)I-DLE’s Minnie Tops Music Shows and Charts with Successful Solo Debut


Minnie, a member of (G)I-DLE, has successfully wrapped up her first solo activities.


On January 21, Minnie took her first step as a solo artist with the release of her debut mini-album HER. The album, which includes seven tracks such as the title song HER and the pre-release track Blind Eyes Red, quickly topped China’s QQ Music Daily and Weekly Digital Best-Seller charts upon its release. It also ranked 3rd on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and 5th on the European iTunes Album Chart, signaling a successful solo debut.


To celebrate her solo activities, Minnie held a pop-up store with an exhibition concept where she personally guided fans through her photos, creating a highly engaging experience. She also hosted an exclusive listening session, sharing meaningful moments with fans up close as part of her solo debut promotions.


Minnie showcased captivating performances on music shows, starting with Mnet’s M Countdown. She achieved significant milestones by winning 1st place on KBS2’s Music Bank during the 5th week of January with her title track HER and topping Bugs’ real-time music chart. Additionally, her album recorded over 190,000 first-week sales, and as of February 3, the HER music video had surpassed 29.6 million views, proving her prowess as a solo artist.


Minnie also appeared on KBS2’s The Seasons – Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow and various web variety shows, drawing considerable attention. Even after her album’s release, she continued to surprise fans with special clips, including Obsession (feat. TEN of WayV), where she fully embodied the music, and the dreamy Cherry Sky, showcasing her unique musical style and versatility in concept execution.


Minnie’s first mini-album HER reflects her wide musical spectrum and heartfelt stories. Having previously demonstrated her exceptional producing skills through songwriting and composition for (G)I-DLE’s tracks, Minnie took a bold step as a singer-songwriter by writing and composing every song on the album herself.
