Girl group aespa (Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning) has been named Group of the Year at Billboard Women in Music 2025.


On February 12 (local time), Billboard announced the details of the Billboard Women in Music 2025 awards, revealing that aespa has been selected as this year’s Group of the Year. Billboard stated, “K-pop supergroup aespa is receiving the award in recognition of their groundbreaking musical achievements and global impact.” 


The selection highlights aespa’s dominance in 2024 with three consecutive mega-hits—Supernova, Armageddon, and Whiplash—further cementing their status in the industry.


Billboard Women in Music is an annual awards ceremony celebrating women who drive innovation and change in the music industry. This year’s event will feature rising stars and legendary icons, including Tyla, Erykah Badu, GloRilla, Gracie Abrams, Meghan Trainor, and Muni Long.


The ceremony will be broadcast live from the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles on March 29. aespa is set to attend the event in person, deliver their acceptance speech, and perform on stage.
