ZEROBASEONE Kicks Off Trophy Collection, Dominates Major Charts in Korea and Japan
Boy group ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) is experiencing their very own Blue Paradise, living up to the name of their latest album.
ZEROBASEONE—comprised of Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, Park Gunwook, and Han Yujin—released their fifth mini-album BLUE PARADISE on February 24. On its release day alone, the album sold over 1 million copies, earning the group yet another million-seller title. With this, ZEROBASEONE has made history as the first K-pop group to achieve million-seller status with all five of their albums within just one day of release. Additionally, BLUE PARADISE topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 17 regions worldwide, and all tracks from the album successfully entered Korea’s major streaming charts, including Melon’s TOP100 and HOT100.
ZEROBASEONE’s popularity in Japan is also remarkable. BLUE PARADISE secured the No. 3 spot on Apple Music’s Overall Album Ranking and LINE Music’s Album Chart, while also reaching No. 4 on Amazon Digital Music’s Popular Album Ranking. The album’s title track, BLUE, is receiving significant attention as well. ZEROBASEONE has already won two trophies on music shows, taking first place on SBS FiL/SBS M’s The Show and MBC M/MBC every1’s Show! Champion. With their trophy collection in full swing, the group’s unstoppable rise continues to captivate fans worldwide.
Further showcasing their influence, ZEROBASEONE became the first K-pop group to host a pop-up store at The Hyundai Seoul, occupying an impressive 1,000-pyeong (approximately 3,300-square-meter) space on the 5th floor’s Sounds Forest. The pop-up store garnered massive crowds even before opening, with pre-order merchandise selling out in just 30 seconds. Due to high demand, additional online sales have been announced following the in-store purchases.
Before the album’s official release, ZEROBASEONE pre-released Doctor! Doctor!, one of the album’s tracks, and successfully reached the final goal of their 10-million streaming challenge. In celebration of this achievement, the group donated 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000) to a children's hospital in the name of their fandom, ZEROSE, spreading warmth this winter.
With their comeback generating explosive popularity, ZEROBASEONE is set to continue their promotions through various music shows and web variety programs, further solidifying their position as one of the top K-pop acts.
