BTS member Jimin has made history on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming the longest-charting K-pop solo artist on the chart.
According to Billboard’s latest chart (dated March 15), Jimin’s “Who”, the title track of his second solo album “MUSE”, ranked 41st on the Hot 100, marking its 32nd week on the chart. This achievement surpasses PSY’s previous record of 31 weeks with “Gangnam Style” (2012). Additionally, "Who" now ties BTS’ “Dynamite” (32 weeks) as the longest-charting K-pop song in Hot 100 history, making Jimin the artist with the longest-charting song both as a group member and a soloist.
Jimin’s “MUSE” is also achieving remarkable success on other Billboard charts. The album has remained on the Billboard 200 (currently at No. 154) and World Albums (No. 1) for 33 consecutive weeks, continuously breaking records.
Meanwhile, other BTS members’ solo projects are also maintaining strong performances:
j-hope’s feature on Don Toliver’s new song “LV Bag (feat. j-hope of BTS & Pharrell Williams)” has ranked on the Global Excl. U.S. chart (No. 200) for two consecutive weeks.
Jungkook’s debut solo single “Seven (feat. Latto)” continues its impressive run, staying on the Global Excl. U.S. (No. 77) for 86 weeks and the Global 200 (No. 131) for 85 weeks.
Jin’s solo album “Happy”, released in November 2023, remains on the World Albums chart (No. 25) for 16 weeks and continues its long-term success.
BTS’ anthology album “Proof” holds No. 7 on the World Albums chart, marking 143 consecutive weeks on the chart, further solidifying BTS’ enduring influence in the global music industry.
