BTS’s Jimin Achieves Historic 90th Week at No. 1 on Spotify Korea Artist Chart
BTS’s Jimin has set another unprecedented record on Spotify’s Korean charts.
According to Spotify’s chart update on April 4th, Jimin maintained his No. 1 position on the Spotify Korea ‘Weekly Top Artists’ chart, marking his 90th week at the top. This is the first and only time in the chart’s history that an artist has achieved this milestone of 90 No. 1s. Jimin first entered the Spotify ‘Korea Weekly Top Artists’ chart in the last week of April 2022 with “With You,” the OST for the tvN drama “Our Blues,” and has been on the chart for a total of 139 weeks as of April 3rd. Among those weeks, he has held the top spot for 90 of them, demonstrating his unparalleled popularity.
On the Spotify Korea ‘Daily Top Artists’ chart, Jimin recorded his 613th No. 1 as of April 3rd, extending his record as the artist with the most No. 1s on that chart. The title track of his second solo album, “MUSE,” titled “Who,” immediately topped the Spotify Korea ‘Daily Top Songs’ chart upon its release and has remained at No. 1 for 259 consecutive days as of the latest chart on April 3rd, despite no official promotions. It is also currently at No. 1 for the 37th consecutive week on the ‘Weekly Top Songs’ chart.
Meanwhile, Jimin topped Spotify’s ‘Global Impact List’ – which selects the most streamed Korean music overseas in the second half of 2024 – with “Who,” and also placed a total of five songs on the list, including “Like Crazy” (5th), “Slow Dance” (19th), “Reverse” (22nd), and “Interlude: Showtime” (28th), showcasing his world-class presence.
