BABYMONSTER Collaborates with Google Pixel in Shibuya, Tokyo – YG’s Next-Generation Girl Group Gains Momentum in Japan
YG Entertainment’s next-generation girl group, BABYMONSTER, is garnering attention for undertaking significant projects with prominent Japanese companies even before their official Japanese debut.
According to YG Entertainment on April 9th, BABYMONSTER is hosting a collaborative event with Google Pixel, titled ‘Google Pixel IMAGINATION STUDIO with BABYMONSTER,’ at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA in Tokyo, Japan, from March 29th to April 13th. SHIBUYA TSUTAYA, located directly in front of the world-famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, is a large shopping mall that sees hundreds of thousands of visitors daily. The event has been a resounding success since its opening, attracting large crowds.
The event space is expansive, featuring life-sized acrylic stands of the BABYMONSTER members on the first floor in an area called ‘IMAGINATION TOUR,’ and a basement level ‘DIVE INTO MUSIC VIDEO’ that recreates the worlds of their music videos, including ‘DRIP’ and ‘Really Like You.’ The venue is uniquely decorated with BABYMONSTER’s signature logo and the design of their first full album, [DRIP]. Various booths offer a range of entertainment and attractions.
A special experience zone allows visitors to create their own BABYMONSTER photos using the Pixel 9 Pro, a smartphone equipped with AI features available in Japan and select other regions (excluding Korea). The event also includes gift giveaways for participants, tour packages, and exclusive merchandise available for pre-sale, enhancing fan satisfaction. A dedicated space for fans to leave messages for the members has also been set up.
BABYMONSTER is receiving enthusiastic support from the Japanese industry even before their official debut, undertaking large-scale projects that demonstrate their growing influence. Beyond generating buzz, they are solidifying their popularity with the Japanese public. Following the Google project, BABYMONSTER is the only K-pop artist participating in ‘Sony Park展 2025’ Part2, further expanding their reach. Additionally, they have been selected to sing the theme song for ‘Kakusiteki na Joshikousei’ (Visible High School Girl), a highly anticipated film releasing in the first half of the year in Japan, and will make their mark with their first original Japanese song, ‘Ghost.’
‘2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR <HELLO MONSTERS> IN JAPAN,’ which has already attracted 100,000 attendees, is also proving to be a success. Due to overwhelming demand, the tour schedule has been expanded to a total of 12 performances across four cities. The group will meet fans in Kanagawa from April 11th to 13th, and conclude the tour in Fukuoka.
