BTS’s Jungkook continues to make history on Spotify, solidifying his global presence.
Jungkook’s debut solo single “Seven,” released in July 2023, ranked 69th on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Songs Global’ chart for the week of June 20th-26th, maintaining a strong position in the mid-upper ranks. “Seven” has now spent an incredible 102 consecutive weeks on the chart, extending his record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist.
Furthermore, Jungkook’s debut solo album “GOLDEN,” released in November 2023, climbed to 70th place on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Albums Global’ chart for the week of June 20th-26th. Jungkook has also remained on this chart for an unprecedented 86 consecutive weeks, marking the longest run for an album by an Asian solo artist.
Despite being in a non-promotional period, Jungkook has spent a total of 109 weeks on Spotify’s ‘Weekly Top Artists Global’ chart as of the week of June 20th-26th, demonstrating his enduring influence and popularity.
“Seven” achieved the fastest times to reach 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and 1.1 billion streams in Spotify history, and has now surpassed 2.42 billion streams, becoming the first and fastest Asian song to reach this milestone.  “GOLDEN” has also become the first Asian solo album to reach 5.7 billion cumulative streams.
Jungkook is also the first Asian solo artist to have three songs (“Seven,” “Left and Right,” and “Standing Next to You”) surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.
