BTS’s Jungkook Sets New Records as First Asian Solo Artist with 102 and 103 Weeks on Two Billboard Global Charts



BTS’s Jungkook continues his record-breaking run on Billboard, proving his overwhelming global popularity.



According to the Billboard Global 200 chart dated July 12, Jungkook’s solo debut single “Seven” ranked at No. 139. On the same date, it placed No. 81 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, showing its enduring strength on two major global charts.



“Seven” has now spent 102 weeks on the Global 200 and 103 weeks on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, a remarkable feat that solidifies Jungkook’s global appeal. With this, Jungkook becomes the first and only Asian solo artist to chart for over 100 weeks on both charts — setting a historic record.



Released in July 2023, “Seven” topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart for 9 consecutive weeks and the Global 200 for 7 consecutive weeks. It also became the first and longest-running song by an Asian act to top both charts simultaneously for 7 weeks.



Jungkook also achieved No. 1 on both Billboard global charts with his other solo hits “3D” and “Standing Next to You.” He is the first solo artist in Billboard history to top both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts with more than three different songs in a single year (Seven, 3D, Standing Next to You), marking a new milestone in Billboard’s history.



On Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, “Seven” has remained on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart for 104 consecutive weeks — a sign of its enduring global popularity.



It also surpassed 2.427 billion streams, becoming the fastest and first song by an Asian artist to achieve the milestone and entering the Top 80 most-streamed songs of all time on Spotify.



“Seven” also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main U.S. singles chart, remaining on the chart for 15 weeks. In the UK, it debuted at No. 3 on the UK Official Singles Top 100 and made history as the first K-pop solo song to stay on the chart for 14 weeks.
