Lim Young-woong Will Not Release Physical CD for 2nd Full Album



Singer Lim Young-woong is choosing to connect with fans through sincerity and value-driven choices.



On the morning of July 29, an official announcement was posted on Lim Young-woong’s official social media regarding the physical release of his second full-length album “IM HERO 2.”



According to the notice, instead of releasing a traditional physical CD album, “IM HERO 2” will be offered as a collectible photo album package (album book) for those who wish to own a physical keepsake.



The album book will include photos related to the second album, album credits, and a personal message from Lim Young-woong, adding special value as both a collectible and a memento.



His agency, Fish Music, explained:


“This decision came after long discussions and deep reflection with Lim Young-woong. The company fully resonated with the artist’s heartfelt intention and supported it,” adding, “Though the form of the album is changing, we hope the emotions and sincerity within will reach fans even more closely. Please look forward to it.”



The decision was made in consideration of practical limitations in enjoying CD albums, the potential pressure fans may feel to show support through purchases, and environmental concerns. The IM HERO 2 album book will be available exclusively for pre-order through Lim Young-woong’s official merchandise store, I’m HERO Mall, starting July 31 at 2 PM KST. However, it will not be counted toward official album sales charts.



Lim Young-woong’s second full-length album “IM HERO 2” will be released on August 29, promising to deliver deeper emotional resonance through this change in approach. Related content for the comeback will be revealed sequentially.
