ASTRO members MJ and JinJin, under Fantagio, will be making their official unit debut as ZOONI ZINI on August 13.



At midnight on July 29 (KST), Fantagio released a "coming soon" teaser video through its official social media channels, announcing the release of ZOONI ZINI’s first mini-album “DICE”. The mini-album will be released on August 13 at 6 PM KST through major online music platforms.



The teaser featured dynamic typography displaying the unit’s English names “ZOONI” and “ZINI”, the format “1st MINI ALBUM”, the album title “DICE”, and the release date “2025.08.13”, catching the attention of fans. The unit name ZOONI ZINI combines the members’ names MJ (Kim Myungjun) and JinJin (Park Jinwoo), while the album name “DICE” symbolizes the fresh synergy they’re expected to deliver as a duo.



MJ, ASTRO’s main vocalist, and JinJin, the group’s leader and main rapper, are now set to embark on a new chapter as the unit ZOONI ZINI. Outside of ASTRO, MJ released his solo album “Happy Virus” in 2021 and has participated in various OSTs and music projects, showcasing his solid and charming vocals. JinJin has shown his musicality through his personal project “JIN LAB”, where he released high-quality self-composed songs, and has also contributed to producing several ASTRO albums as both an artist and producer.

Both MJ and JinJin have also established themselves as musical actors. MJ has appeared in productions such as Jamie, Winter Wanderer, Jack the Ripper, and Zorro: Actor-Musician, while JinJin has performed in Winter Wanderer, both the original and rerun of Dream High, and Crash Landing on You, receiving praise from audiences.



This year marks the 9th anniversary of MJ and JinJin’s debut. As ASTRO, they released the special single “Twilight”, written and composed by JinJin, and successfully completed their solo concert “The 4th ASTROAD [Stargraphy]” in Korea and Japan, marking their first in-person concerts in three years. With their multi-faceted talents and musical growth, all eyes are on what new charms and colors MJ and JinJin will present through ZOONI ZINI.
