The OST “Golden” from the Netflix animated series K-Pop Demon Hunters has soared to No. 2 on Billboard’s main singles chart, the Hot 100.
According to Billboard’s preview article dated August 2 (local time), “Golden”, performed by the in-series girl group HUNTRIX, climbed to No. 2, marking its highest ranking to date. The song steadily rose through the chart—from debuting at No. 81 in its first week, to 23rd, 6th, 4th, and now 2nd place.
Additionally, “Golden” topped Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart and also claimed the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and Global 200 charts. It had briefly ceded the top position to BLACKPINK’s “JUMP” last week but reclaimed the crown this week.
K-Pop Demon Hunters is an action-fantasy animation that tells the story of K-pop superstars Lumi, Mira, and Joy, who secretly protect the world behind their dazzling on-stage personas. Since its release on June 20, the series has shown remarkable viewership, starting with 9.2 million views in its first week and reaching approximately 25.8 million by its fifth week—breaking Netflix’s record for the most-watched title in its fifth week of release. The total accumulated views now exceed 106 million.
