BTS’s Jin Hits 400 Million Streams on Spotify with “Don’t Say You Love Me”
BTS member Jin’s “Don’t Say You Love Me” has surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify, showcasing his powerful global presence in the music scene.
As of August 5, the title track from Jin’s second solo album Echo, released on May 16, has exceeded 400 million streams on the world’s largest music platform, just about three months after its release — an impressive achievement that reflects the song’s continued love from listeners worldwide.
Upon its release, “Don’t Say You Love Me” topped various charts and set historic records as a solo artist. It debuted at No. 1 on the Spotify Global Chart, becoming the first song by an Asian artist in 2025 to claim the top spot on the platform’s global chart.
Its success in Japan has been particularly remarkable. The track held the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s Top Songs Japan chart for 41 consecutive days, making Jin the K-pop male solo artist with the longest run at No. 1 in Japanese Spotify history. It also holds the longest-running No. 1 record for a K-pop solo track without a featuring artist, and ranks second among all K-pop soloists, following only Rosé & Bruno Mars’ “APT.”
In addition, Jin is the only K-pop solo artist in Japanese Spotify history to have more than one No. 1 song, with “Don’t Say You Love Me” joining his 2024 hit “Running Wild” in this elite category.
