JYP’s KickFlip proves themselves as “K-pop Super Rookies” at 2025 TIMA amid roaring cheers
JYP Entertainment’s boy group KickFlip has cemented their presence as K-pop super rookies with a powerful stage at the 2025 TIMA (TMELive International Music Awards).
KickFlip took the stage on August 23 at the Galaxy Arena in Macau for the 2025 TIMA, a large-scale international music awards ceremony hosted by China’s leading music company, Tencent Music Entertainment Group. Just seven months after debut, the group drew attention for being included in the lineup. Members Gyehun, Amaru, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyun delivered an explosive performance that had the TIMA crowd roaring.
The stage opened with a solo dance by Donghwa, immediately igniting the atmosphere. The seven members showcased dynamic choreography and solid live vocals, proving their abilities as the next generation of stage masters. Fans in the audience shouted “KickFlip!” in unison and even followed along with the official fan chants, responding with fiery enthusiasm. The loudest cheers came during their addictive debut track “Eung Geurae” and the title song “FREEZE” from their second mini album.
KickFlip shared their heartfelt thanks, saying: “We’ll never forget the cheers and love you gave us today. Thanks to you, we were able to deliver an even more enjoyable performance. We’ll repay you with even greater stages, so please look forward to us and let’s meet often.”
This summer, KickFlip has been making their mark on global stages, not only at 2025 TIMA but also at Lollapalooza Chicago and Summer Sonic 2025 in Japan. On August 21, at the 2025 K World Dream Awards held at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul, they were also recognized with the K World Dream Super Rookie Award, further proving their rising prominence.
