아이돌그룹 몬스타엑스 멤버 아이엠이 소니뮤직코리아와의 인연을 마무리한다.
소니뮤직코리아는 15일 "당사와 아이엠은 신중한 논의 끝에 전속 계약을 종료하기로 상호 합의하였음을 알려드린다"라고 전했다.
이어 "아이엠은 지난 2022년 소니뮤직코리아와 전속 계약 체결 후 지난 3년 간 당사와 함께하며 독창적인 음악 세계를 더욱 단단히 구축해왔다. 자신만의 음악과 진심을 들려준 I.M(아이엠)에게 깊은 감사의 마음을 전하며, 언제나 응원하겠다"라고 전했다.
아이엠은 2022년 8월 스타쉽엔터테인먼트와의 전속 계약 종료 이후 2022년 11월 소니뮤직코리아로 합류한 바 있다.
이와는 별개로 아이엠은 몬스타엑스 팀 활동도 변함없이 이어갔다.
아이엠이 속한 몬스타엑스는 지난 1일 발매한 새 미니앨범 'THE X' 타이틀 곡 'N the Front'로 활동했다.
